The College of Science at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a symposium on the Public Health Authority’s strategies for building the health system.

Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Rahi Kalf Al-Yasiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Salwan Ali Al-Hamzawi,
the College of Science held a scientific symposium in Ibn Al-Haytham Hall entitled “Public Health Priorities in Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq: Learning from Public Health Initiatives in the United Kingdom.” The symposium was delivered by international lecturer Dr. Ayat Ghafouri and moderated by Professor Dr. Maitham Ghali Yousef.
The symposium included a discussion of the Public Health England and Iraq strategy for the period 2020-2025, and an introduction to the CORE20PLUS5 initiative.
The main public health needs in the city of Diwaniyah were also discussed, as well as the application of lessons learned from current public health strategies. The lecture, in a scholarly manner, highlighted the most important obstacles that accompanied the study and the necessary support to bring about positive change in the health system. The scientific symposium was attended by a group of students from the College of Science, as well as faculty members from various scientific disciplines.
