Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalf Al-Yasiri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Salwan Ali Obaid Al-Hamzawi, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college held a discussion session entitled “Choosing Appropriate Academic Majors for Women and Their Adaptation to the Labor Market.” Assistant Professor Nouris Abbas presented the session. The session aimed to highlight the effective role of women in the labor market, recognize the importance of women’s participation and their active role in the labor market, and enhance and support the strengths of women’s distinguished activity, as well as work to develop women’s skills and capabilities in the labor market. The session recommended the importance of improving women’s participation and the need to support them through holding seminars and courses, with an educational and awareness-raising focus, to clarify their professional, social, health, and cultural empowerment. It also emphasized the need to spread the culture of cooperation between men and women in the labor market, in a team spirit, and to provide women with all the necessary requirements to continue working successfully and distinctively.
