The College of Administration and Economics at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a scientific symposium on artificial intelligence and its impact on scientific research.

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kadhim Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Hussein Falah Ward, the Department of Business Administration held a scientific symposium entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Scientific Research.” Assistant Professor Dr. Mustafa Jawad Radeef, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Al-Qadisiyah University, delivered the lecture. The lecture was titled “Using Artificial Intelligence Applications in Developing Scientific Research Methods: Modern Methodologies and Advanced Tools.” The lecture was also delivered by Senior Chief Engineer Mr. Jabr Abdul Jabr Hassoun, Assistant Director of Communications and Information Technology at Diwaniyah. The lecture was titled “Artificial Intelligence – Partnership or Conflict?” The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Rawnaq Kazim Hussein Shubar, and moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Hind Diaa Abdul Rasool. The symposium aimed to introduce researchers to the concepts of artificial intelligence and its modern applications, clarify how artificial intelligence can contribute to accelerating and improving scientific research processes, present real-life examples of artificial intelligence applications in various research fields, encourage interaction between artificial intelligence specialists and researchers from other fields to exchange ideas and experiences, and address challenges. The symposium also discussed the technical and ethical issues associated with the use of AI in scientific research, such as data bias or excessive automation. It also discussed future trends in AI and their potential impact on scientific research in the coming years.
The symposium recommended the need to develop researchers’ skills by training them to use AI tools to analyze data and conduct research more efficiently. This can be achieved through workshops and targeted training courses. It also recommended enhancing collaboration between AI and researchers through educational and research platforms that encourage interaction between human knowledge and AI capabilities. The importance of transparency and credibility in the use of AI must be emphasized, as well as how AI tools are used in scientific research, ensuring that results are reliable and trustworthy.
