The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organizes an awareness seminar on the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate.

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University, in cooperation with the Engineers Syndicate, Diwaniyah Branch, organized an awareness seminar entitled (Our Syndicate is Our Safe Haven) in the Postgraduate Studies Discussion Hall, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Khalidi, and the Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Rafid Kazim Abbas, the head of the Engineers Syndicate in Diwaniyah, Engineer Haider Farhan Matar, and members of the Engineers Syndicate, faculty staff, and college students attended the symposium. The head of the Engineers Syndicate, Haider Farhan Matar, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Sharifi, and Professor Aqeel Faris Al-Rafiq attended the symposium. The symposium aimed to organize the practice of the profession with the aim of raising its academic, professional, and scientific level, defending the interests, dignity, and rights of members, preserving the traditions and honor of the profession, advancing the academic and professional level of engineers, stimulating and supporting scientific research, and ensuring the future of members in cases of illness, old age, unemployment, and compensation for work-related accidents. The symposium also highlighted that the Engineers Syndicate is a national professional syndicate that works to organize and develop the engineering profession, defend its members, build their capacities, invest in expertise, and encourage innovation and leadership based on institutional work, professional ethics, and cooperation in serving society and citizens to achieve sustainable development.
