Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nabil Imran Al-Khalidi, Dean of the College of Arts, and as part of the activities of the first annual Integrity Week, the Department of Psychology at the College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University held a discussion session titled “The Ability of Higher Education to Perform Its Roles in Combating Corruption: Combating Corruption through Education.” The session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Amina Yassin Marzouk.

The discussion aimed to emphasize the role of the educational curriculum in establishing the principles of integrity, transparency, and combating corruption. The session concluded with a set of recommendations, including the necessity of developing a curriculum or teaching course on legal principles that progresses with the student from the undergraduate level to postgraduate studies, addressing rights and duties, as well as oversight and punitive content in a simple and easy language with practical examples that students can grasp and that add value to their learning. It was emphasized that actions and behaviors related to combating financial and administrative corruption, which are criminalized by law or that affirm transparency, should have a prominent presence in these courses.
