The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organizes a scientific course on variable reluctance motors.

The Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific course entitled “Variable Reluctance Motors: Operating Principles and Control Methods” in the Continuing Education Unit Hall. The course was presented by Asst. Dr. Fahad Ahmed Al-Mayali, Asst. Ahmed Adel Hashim, and Asst. Kawthar Jabbar Mazhar. The course aimed to introduce the participating students and faculty members to the operating principle of switched reluctance motors (SRMs), which are among the most promising modern motors in industrial applications. It focused on the control techniques used in their operation. The course also included a detailed explanation of the basic structure of SRMs and their torque generation mechanism, as well as a review of their types and control methods, both traditional and modern.
