Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Microbiology at the college held a scientific discussion session on Brucellosis. Assistant Professor Kholoud Hamdan Fahd presented the session. The session aimed to demonstrate the seriousness of this disease and how it is transmitted between animals and humans. The session also covered brucellosis, a chronic infectious disease that affects cows. It is characterized by inflammation of the reproductive organs and genital membranes, in addition to causing miscarriage in pregnant females in the advanced stages of pregnancy, between the fifth and seventh months. It affects all cows, regardless of their age, and of all breeds. The older the cows, the more susceptible they are to the disease, with the first infection in cows being the peak of the disease.
