Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Public Health Branch of the college completed a training course on biofilms, presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Arouba Muteb Fajjah, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Rahim Atiyah, and Professor Dr. Basima Jassim.
The course aimed to explain how biofilms are formed by bacteria, methods for detecting them, and how to inform researchers and graduate students about the mechanisms of bacterial action related to these biofilms as one of their virulence factors.
The course also included an explanation of the mechanisms of biofilm formation and the use of these parameters to detect virulence factors in bacteria and how to verify these parameters in research and investigation of pathogenic bacteria.
The course recommended that similar workshops be held to support researchers and graduate students in their academic and scientific journeys.
