Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Star Abdul Hassan Al-Fatlawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs… The Sustainable Development Council held its second meeting chaired by the President of the University, with the membership of the esteemed Assistants to the President of the University for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, a select group of Deans of Colleges, and Directors of Media, Planning, Quality Assurance Departments, and officials of Sustainable Development, Green Education, and Global Rankings Units.
The meeting included the establishment of long-term strategies to achieve sustainable development goals and integrate its principles into all academic and administrative activities, as well as monitoring and evaluating the achievement of sustainable development goals at the university and preparing periodic reports that clarify the university’s accomplishments and challenges in this area.
The council recommended the importance of following up on the achievement of all sustainable development goals that contribute to the quality of higher education and scientific research, developing the academic program, creating a scientific environment capable of facing all contemporary challenges, supporting research and studies related to environmental sustainability issues, and incorporating sustainability concepts into the curricula of all colleges.
