The Psychological and Educational Counseling Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences held a guidance workshop entitled “The Importance of Education for Society,” presented by Asst. Dr. Duha Shaker Mohammed Al-Yasiri. The workshop aimed to increase awareness among individuals, enabling them to understand the events taking place in their surroundings in a correct and appropriate manner, interact with them, and advance their thinking in a way that serves their community. Just as proper education enhances the values of citizenship among individuals, it instills in them a sense of belonging, enabling them to understand their duties and responsibilities as members of society. Furthermore, education corrects false beliefs that may be instilled in children’s minds by eliminating irrational biases.
