The Department of Private Law at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University held a workshop entitled “Protection of Working Women in Iraqi Legislation.” The workshop was presented by Asst. Dr. Iqbal Mubdar Nayef and Asst. Dr. Hiba Abdul Amir Hamid. The workshop aimed to highlight the protection afforded by Labor Law No. 37 of 2015 for working women and to highlight the most significant obstacles to women’s participation in the Iraqi workforce. This will help shape future policies and programs to promote equality in the labor market for all individuals. The workshop recommended emphasizing the need to activate the role of women in the workplace, support them, and encourage them to enter this field strongly, given the existence of laws that guarantee their rights. It also recommended holding seminars to raise awareness among women, increasing their knowledge in this area, and informing them of their rights in the workplace.
