Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazim Jabr Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Biotechnology, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Wahab Al-Askari, the College of Biotechnology held an educational seminar on foot-and-mouth disease. Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassim Nema and Asst. Hiba Shihab Ahmed presented at the seminar. The seminar addressed the topic of foot-and-mouth disease, a highly contagious viral disease that affects livestock such as buffalo, cows, sheep, and goats, as well as some wild animals. It is caused by the FMDV virus, which is rapidly transmitted between animals through direct or indirect contact and can lead to death, especially in newborns.
