The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organizes a scientific workshop on diagnosing complex groups of materials and analyzing their results using FTIR spectroscopy.

The Department of Road and Transportation Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific symposium entitled “Diagnosing Compounds of Materials and Analyzing Their Results Using FTIR Spectroscopy.” The symposium was held in the Continuing Education Unit Hall. M.E. Rania Ihsan Ali lectured. The workshop aimed to introduce FTIR spectroscopy, which is used to identify chemical compounds and study the molecular structures of materials. The workshop provided an overview of FTIR spectroscopy, including its uses, operating principles, and its most important advantages and disadvantages. The workshop also covered practical examples of organic materials tested in the laboratory using the spectrometer, and how to interpret the spectral results to identify the chemical compounds and their constituent bonds.
