Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the college held a scientific seminar titled “Safety in Laboratories,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Suadi Zghair and Assistant Professor Maha Abdul Hadi Abdul Redha.
The seminar included understanding the basic principles of safety in laboratories, identifying potential hazards and methods of prevention, applying emergency procedures and responding to incidents, and recognizing personal protective equipment and using it correctly.
The outcomes of the seminar included participants’ familiarity with the fundamentals of laboratory safety, enhancing their ability to identify hazards, take preventive measures, and improve preparedness for emergency response.
