Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Durgham Majid Hamid Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the Nursing College, the college organized a scientific course titled (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Nutrition). The course was presented by Assistant Lecturer Hajar Haider Sadoon and Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Hamoz Hawas.
The course aimed to increase awareness about Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and clarify the relationship between it and nutrition, as well as to provide dietary guidelines for those affected by the syndrome. The course addressed several main topics, including an introduction to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, where the concept of the syndrome, its symptoms, and causes were explained. It also covered the relationship between Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and nutrition, clarifying how diet impacts the syndrome’s symptoms and how a healthy diet can help alleviate them. Dietary guidelines were provided regarding foods that should be consumed and those to be avoided, as well as how to plan healthy meals.
