Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Durgham Majid Hamid Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Nursing, the college organized a scientific course titled “Electrocardiography.” The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Hamza Harmas and Assistant Professor Dr. Sadiq Salam Hassouni.
The course aimed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to understand and interpret electrocardiograms, which is a fundamental diagnostic tool in the healthcare field. The course covered several main topics, including an introduction to electrocardiography, where the basics of electrocardiography and how the device works were explained, along with how to place the electrodes. Additionally, it included the interpretation of a normal electrocardiogram, discussing the components of a normal electrocardiogram and how to determine heart rate and rhythm.
