The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a scientific workshop on hurdle races

Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashir Shakir Al-Awadi, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organized a workshop titled “Hurdle Races,” presented by Dr. Wael Abdullah Hussein Al-Lami. The workshop addressed the most important biomechanical variables in the technical phases of hurdle races, as well as the latest updates to the regulations pertaining to these races. The workshop recommended focusing on the pre- and post-hurdle step regarding the movement of the leading leg and the take-off leg, as well as the movement of the arms and trunk, which play a significant role in the motor performance of these races.
