In line with the initiative launched by the Prime Minister, which includes the planting of 5 million palm trees and other trees, and under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of his assistant for administrative affairs, Professor Atheer Abdul Amir Al-Mashhadi, in cooperation with the Al-Nouriya Date Palm Planting Station affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Al-Qadisiyah University has launched a major campaign to plant 1,000 date palm seedlings. The agricultural department at the university has commenced work starting from the university presidency gardens to other university corridors, planting the seedlings donated by the Al-Nouriya Date Palm Planting Station and private sector donors. It is worth noting that the organization of the campaign continues to prepare and plant the university gardens in the coming weeks.
The campaign is part of Al-Qadisiyah University’s plan to achieve a sustainable green university following its registration in partnership with UNESCO, in addition to partnerships with the Ministry of Agriculture and several other governmental institutions.
