The Departments of Civil Engineering and Roads and Transportation at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific course entitled (Standard Penetration Testing) in the Continuing Education Hall, presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdallah Abdul and Assist. Prof. Sura Ali Saadoun.
The course aimed to conduct Standard Penetration Testing for non-cohesive soil to determine the Standard Penetration Test (SPT) number as a primary indicator of the relative density of non-cohesive soil and, consequently, its shear and compressive resistance.
The course also included a detailed explanation of the test regarding the tools and equipment used, the working methodology, and the site correction method for the test.
