Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kadhim Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Dhurgham Majeed Hamid Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Nursing, the college held a scientific symposium entitled “Early-onset Dementia in Young Adulthood.” Assistant Professor Dr. Sajida Khamis Abdullah lectured. The symposium aimed to shed light on this increasingly important issue, raise awareness of it in society, and clarify the causes, symptoms, and risk factors leading to early-onset dementia in young adults. It also addressed several key topics, including the concept of early-onset dementia, its causes and symptoms, the difference between it and dementia that affects the elderly, and risk factors leading to early-onset dementia, such as genetic factors, head injuries, and chronic diseases.
