Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kadhim Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Dhurgham Majeed Hamid Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Nursing, the college held a scientific symposium entitled “Psychological First Aid,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Amir Jabr.
The symposium aimed to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and train staff to provide initial psychological support in emergency situations.
It also addressed several key topics, including the concept of psychological first aid, including a definition of psychological first aid and its importance in providing initial psychological support to people experiencing psychological crises. It also highlighted the importance of psychological first aid in reducing the negative effects of psychological crises and promoting recovery.
