Under the sponsorship of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, and supervised by the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuous Education Unit at the College of Dentistry organized a training course titled “Mastering Scientific Research: Skills for Finding Sources and Correct Academic Citation,” presented by Assistant Instructor Ridwan Ali Kata’a.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ scientific research skills by teaching them how to search for reliable academic sources using scientific search engines and accredited databases.
The course recommended avoiding the manual addition of references and citations due to potential errors in documentation and source formatting. Instead, the use of reference management software like Mendeley is advised, as it allows for accurate data entry and the automatic extraction of reference lists according to the required academic styles.
