Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Physiology and Pharmacology Department at the college held a seminar on contraceptive methods in domestic animals, presented by Assistant Lecturer Roza Muhammad Hassan.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness of the importance of pet population control and provide information on various available contraceptive methods and modern approaches.
The seminar recommended increasing awareness and education on the necessity of providing information about contraceptives and their importance, as well as encouraging sterilization as a means to reduce the increase in the number of domestic animals. It also highlighted the risks of unplanned pregnancies for household pets and stressed the importance of promoting pet adoption to reduce the number of unwanted animals.
