The Educational Guidance Unit, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit and the Continuing Education Unit at the college, organized a scientific workshop titled “First Aid and Dealing with Accidents,” presented by Mr. Muslim Farooq Youssef, head of the Medical Support Team, and Mr. Muqtada Hamza along with a group of volunteers.
The workshop included training for students and faculty on blood withdrawal, cannula insertion, types of nutrients and their uses, handling cases of diabetes and hypertension, using related measuring devices, knowing blood types, and basic life support.
The workshop recommended the necessity of educating the teaching and administrative staff and students on the principles of first aid and ensuring they are knowledgeable about first aid concepts to enable them to handle emergency situations that may arise, God forbid.
