The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine, Family Guidance Center, held an awareness seminar entitled (Drugs, Society and Social Control: A Sociological Perspective), in which Professor Dr. Taleb Abdul-Ridha Kabtan lectured. The seminar aimed to shed light on the role of the academic community in educating our students about the dangers of the drug scourge and clarifying the dangers it poses to the health of the individual and society and the profound impact it leaves on the value and moral system and the subsequent waste of human resources and dragging those who use it into the furnace of decadence and crime, as well as the waste of economic resources that result from the use and trade of this deadly poison.
