The College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University completes a training course on removing calcification from hard tissues

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the College organized a training course entitled (Removing Calcification from Hard Tissues) lectured by Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatima Suwadi Zgheir and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nabil Abdul Murad. The training course aimed to provide a practical and theoretical explanation of the technique of preparing tissues with calcium deposits such as hard bones and staining tissue sections using general and special stains. This technique is also widely used in the field of pathology and biology to facilitate the process of preparing tissues for the purpose of preparing slides in tissues and knowing the diseases associated with them. The training course recommended enabling participants to prepare tissue samples using techniques for removing calcifications from bones and soft tissues
