Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the College held a training course entitled (Changes in the genetic transcription factor Bcl11b as a result of stimulating the cellular pathway dependent on the Gsk3 enzyme) presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Wissam Hussein Salman
The course aimed to identify the most important biochemical changes that occur to the genetic transcription protein Bcl11b and the importance of these changes in determining the function of this important protein in the development of lymphocytes, as this protein turns from an inhibitory factor to an activating factor for genetic transcription of some important genes in the process of differentiation of lymphocytes due to these changes
During this course, an intensive discussion was held about the most important biochemical changes such as phosphorylation, addition of methylation or addition of lysine, and it was recommended how to benefit from studying these changes in determining new drug targets to treat cancerous diseases resulting from aberration in regulating these changes for this important genetic factor in the differentiation of lymphocytes
