The lecturer at the College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University, Dr. Firas Abdul Khaliq Mandeel Al-Ghanmi, held a scientific symposium at the Rehabilitation Center for Addicts and Users in the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances entitled (Drug Addiction: Challenges and Ways to Recovery). The symposium aimed to educate the attendees about the dangers of drug addiction and its psychological, physical and social impact, highlight the factors that lead to addiction and ways to prevent it, discuss modern methods in treating addiction and rehabilitating addicts, motivate addicts to take serious steps towards recovery and reintegration into society, and enhance the role of the family and society in supporting addicts during the treatment and rehabilitation journey.
