The College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a scientific course on family building mechanisms and reducing the high rates of divorce and its negative effects on society

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nabil Omran Al-Khalidi, Dean of the College of Arts, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University, held a scientific course entitled (Mechanisms of Family Building and Reducing High Divorce Rates and Its Negative Effects on Society), presented by M.M. Zainab Muhammad Hamza and Mr. Hussein Abdul Ali Al-Aryan. The course aimed to show that divorce and separation of the mother and father affect the entire family, especially children, as Islam approved and permitted divorce, but it is one of the reprehensible things. Divorce also greatly affects men and women and causes psychological and social pressures. The course recommended the establishment of laws and procedures that limit this phenomenon and activate and stimulate the role of the social researcher and the necessity of raising awareness among parents to observe sound controls in the marriage of their children and activate laws that prevent marriage and divorce outside the court, in addition to holding seminars, workshops and awareness-raising discussion groups that urge the importance of married life and family formation
