Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazim Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine organized a seminar on human rights in Iraqi law, in which Prof. M. Shaima Abbas Subaih and M. M. Abdullah Kamel Mohammed
The symposium aimed to shed light on human rights in Iraqi law through the government’s efforts after 2003 to promote human rights and fundamental freedoms by working to ratify and join a set of texts related to human rights in the constitution and national laws.
The symposium recommended the need to pay attention to the basic requirements of human rights, including the right to life, security, dignity, equality, health and education, and to prepare a human rights curriculum that includes an objective treatment of human rights issues.
