The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Qadisiyah University organized an intensive training course titled “First Aid in Scouting Camps,” which lasted for three days. The course was presented by Assistant Lecturers Jassim Qasim Abbas, Ali Raad Ismail, and Murtadha Tahseen Jawad, with the participation of several students, supervisors, and those interested in this field.

The course aimed to enhance health awareness and develop skills for dealing with emergency situations that scouts may encounter during outdoor activities and scouting camps. On the first day, the course covered initial procedures for assessing an injured person, how to respond to cases of unconsciousness, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Practical training was provided to participants on how to open the airway, perform artificial respiration, and handle sudden cardiac arrest using resuscitation techniques.

On the second day, the course focused on first aid for common injuries in scouting camps, such as wounds and bleeding. On the final day, practical sessions were dedicated to participants, where they executed simulations of emergency situations to test their skills in providing first aid quickly and efficiently. A discussion session was also held to answer the attendees’ inquiries.
