Under the sponsorship of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Silwan Ali Obaid, the Chemistry Department at the College of Science at Al-Qadisiyah University held a training course titled (Diagnostic Methods for Some Kidney Diseases), presented by Dr. Noor Ali Jabr.
The course aimed to highlight the physiological and anatomical foundations of the kidneys, to identify the biomarkers used in diagnosing kidney diseases, as well as to learn laboratory and radiological methods for detecting kidney diseases such as blood and urine tests, ultrasound, and MRI. It also included training participants in interpreting test results and linking them to clinical conditions.
The course recommended the necessity of developing skills in dealing with cases of kidney failure and advising on appropriate treatment steps, improving the accuracy of diagnostic tests by combining laboratory analyses with medical imaging, and increasing awareness of the importance of early testing to reduce the progression of kidney diseases.
