Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Star Hamid Hamza Al-Janabi, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a scientific seminar titled “The Health and Social Risks of Homosexuality,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Abu Jassim Abd.
The seminar addressed the definition of the concept of homosexuality, the historical emergence of this concept, and the health risks associated with it, including serious health consequences leading to AIDS. It also discussed the social aspect of the influence and impact of such a concept on changing some values and misconceptions among youth in general, as well as highlighting the role of the family in confronting this dangerous phenomenon that has swept the world and has promoters in all countries.
