The Department of Roads and Transportation Engineering at the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a discussion seminar for graduate students for the academic year 2024-2025, attended by the head of the department, Dr. Zaid Ali Kazem, and a discussion committee from the department’s faculty members.
The seminars aimed to follow up on the progress of work in the research year and provide feedback from professors and supervisors to enhance the scientific and practical level of the students. The seminar included discussions on five projects covering various topics, including the evaluation of traffic intersections in the city of Diwaniya, the use of sustainable and environmentally friendly asphalt mixtures, and methods for evaluating infrastructure facilities beneath the road, among others.
It is noteworthy that all research is practical and serves government departments such as the Roads and Bridges Department, the Diwaniya Traffic Directorate, and the Railways and Transport Department, where the specialized scientific committee provided suggestions and ideas to develop the students’ work and address current community issues.
