Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hayawi Waheed Attia Al-Juthari, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the Deanship of the College of Agriculture held an awareness-raising workshop entitled (Mechanisms and means of combating human trafficking in Iraq), in which Dr. Muhammad Jassim lectured. The workshop aimed to show that the phenomenon of human trafficking in Iraq has spread widely during the last two decades, due to the difficult security conditions that Iraq has gone through, and this has led to the security reality being a major reason for the spread of this phenomenon. Whenever the state is exposed to security, economic and social crises, these phenomena expand, such as human trafficking and drugs. The reasons and causes are many, including economic disparity, the low standard of living of society, and weak enforcement of the law, regional and international interventions.
