The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University has achieved first place (1/16) locally among Iraqi universities for the first time in the British Times Higher Education ranking for subjects for the year 2025.
It is noted that this ranking focuses on the field of engineering by evaluating universities in five core disciplines: General Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. This year’s rankings include 1,488 institutions from 97 countries and regions, which were assessed based on 18 rigorous performance indicators. The presence of the engineering departments of Al-Qadisiyah University in this global ranking is an indication of the quality of performance and the reliability of the outcomes that compete with global universities.
This achievement comes as a result of the significant efforts made by the presidency of Al-Qadisiyah University and the Global Rankings Unit, as well as the scientific and teaching efforts exerted by the College of Engineering’s administration, faculty members, and staff to elevate the academic level of the college and secure its leading position in this year’s ranking.
