Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah, the Department of Pathology and Poultry Diseases at the college held a discussion session titled (Pulmonary Adenomatous Disease in Sheep), presented by Professor Dr. Atyaf Ghanem Rahi.
The session aimed to introduce this disease, its causes, and the mechanism of its occurrence, as it is defined as a chronic pneumonia in sheep that closely resembles pulmonary adenomatous disease in humans. It is a very common disease in Northern Europe and South Africa. The incubation period of the disease can exceed months, and clinical signs appear when there is a sufficient number of tumors in the lungs, with death occurring a few months after the onset of symptoms.
