A training course at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University focused on nanotechnology in cosmetic dentistry

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry held a training course titled “Nanotechnology in Cosmetic Dentistry,” presented by Dr. Durrar Kamel Jabbar and Ms. Noor Mahmoud.

The course aimed to familiarize participants with nano cosmetic filling materials, nano tools, and devices used in the technology, including their application in teeth whitening, smile design, and dental implants, as well as understanding the benefits and drawbacks of nanotechnology in terms of cost and limited availability, which can be complex and increase the risk of errors if not handled correctly.

The course recommended understanding the benefits and drawbacks of the technology regarding cost, as materials and equipment are more expensive and require specialists in this field. Advanced nanotechnology materials and techniques may not be readily available in all dental clinics, and the complexity of nanotechnology can increase the risk of errors if not managed properly.
