The Unit for Research on Zoonotic Diseases at the college held a discussion session on the infection of deadly rabies: Rabies: Deadly Viral Transmission.
The session was presented by: M. M. Osama Hadi Saleh.
The aim of the session: to understand the infection of rabies, its modes of transmission, how to treat it, and how to prevent it.
The session recommended:
1- The necessity of taking vaccinations and necessary measures to prevent infection with the disease,
2- It also recommended conducting further research in this regard.
3- Controlling and preventing the spread of stray dogs as they are a source of infection for humans and other animals.
4- The necessity of providing the antiserum and vaccines as they are the only solution to save the lives of individuals exposed to deadly dog bites.
