Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Department of Veterinary Microbiology at the College of Veterinary Medicine held a training scientific course on the use of the VITEK device in bacterial diagnosis, presented by Assistant Lecturer Sabreen Nouri Dukkan and Assistant Professor Dr. Shujoun Hassan Jadaan.
The course aimed to enable participants to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to use the VITEK device effectively for accurate and rapid bacterial diagnosis by familiarizing them with the fundamental principles of the device’s operation, sample preparation techniques, result interpretation, and ensuring the highest quality standards in microbiological analyses.
The course recommended adhering to the recommended standards and procedures for sample preparation and using the VITEK device, as well as conducting regular maintenance of the device to ensure result accuracy and providing continuous training for users on device updates and techniques.
