A scientific workshop at the College of Archaeology at Al-Qadisiyah University about the city of Al-Rumaihiyah

Under the patronage and attendance of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sattar Al-Fatlawi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Archeology, Assistant Professor Dr. Rajwan Faisal Al-Mayali, a scientific workshop was held at the College of Archeology entitled (The City of Al-Rumahia: Its Emergence, Prosperity and Disappearance) in which Professor Dr. Faisal Hussein from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and Assistant Professor Dr. Jaafar Hamza Al-Jawdhari from Al-Qadisiyah University lectured. The workshop dealt with the history of the city of Al-Rumahia and its name, with a study of the rivers that pass through it and their impact on the agricultural and commercial activity of the city. The environmental and social aspects that contributed to the development and decline of the city throughout history were discussed, which added a scientific dimension to the study of this important heritage site.
