The Business Administration Department at the College of Administration and Economics, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a seminar titled “Violence Against Women: Reality and Solutions,” presented by Lieutenant Afrah Salim Hatif and moderated by Professor Dr. Sana Jawad Kazem.<\/p>\n
The seminar addressed the phenomenon of violence against women, which the United Nations General Assembly defines as any act of violence against women based on gender that results in physical or psychological harm or suffering to women. It also includes threats of such acts, coercion, or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or private life.<\/p>\n
The seminar recommended a role for community policing in reducing this phenomenon that harms women, who God Almighty has made the essential pillar alongside men in forming families. It proposed some solutions to mitigate these phenomena, including guiding and regulating behaviors and attempting to control them through informal or legal means, as well as raising social and legal awareness for both genders regarding this negative phenomenon by organizing workshops, forums, and conferences, and using direct mass communication when implementing foot patrols.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
