The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Personnel Unit at the College of Engineering, held a workshop titled “Raising Awareness Among Female Employees About Their Rights and Duties and Informing Them About Laws Related to Employment” in the Continuing Education Unit hall, presented by Assistant Lecturer Israa Riyad Al-Ghura and Engineer Abbas Abdullah Awda.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to assess the contribution of international and national legislations in providing necessary protection for the rights of working women. It focused on several key issues, including outlining the rights of working women, such as wages, leave, and working hours, as well as defining their rights and organizing their employment contracts. It also highlighted the fundamental rights of women stated in labor and social security laws, and clarified the restrictions in Iraqi labor law regarding violations that may expose the violator to legal penalties, both criminal and civil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
