The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University concluded the activities of the Higher Entrepreneurship Week, which was organized under the generous patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and a number of sponsoring bodies from private sector companies, under the supervision of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and the follow-up of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Khalidi, in the presence of academics, company representatives, and a large gathering of students and graduates. The activities of the Entrepreneurship Week aimed to encourage students and graduates to adopt the concept of entrepreneurship and motivate them to liberate their ideas and employ their capabilities to serve their community through the various activities it held on entrepreneurial experiences and success stories, in addition to organizing workshops and dialogue sessions related to the entrepreneurial education environment and business investment. The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Khalidi, stated at the conclusion of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week that promoting entrepreneurship has become a multi-level social and economic requirement, so it is imperative for us as officials to develop thinking methods among individuals and provide them with entrepreneurial behaviors, appreciating the efforts of the supervising committees, teaching staff, students, and all The parties that sponsored this important event in our college are keen to achieve the aspirations of our esteemed ministry in supporting the increasing growth of small projects. The Director of the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit at the college, Dr. Marwa Ghazi, explained that the main goal of holding 37 effective activities during this week is to enhance the culture of entrepreneurship and support pioneers and innovators in order to provide them with the necessary knowledge to enable them to start their own businesses and transform their academic projects into practical, realistic and productive projects, and contribute to the development of the entrepreneurship community at the university, contributing to enhancing innovation and the economy in society, which is the main goal of establishing technological incubators within the university. The activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week at the college included a diverse program of lectures, seminars, workshops, a charity market, a book fair, and scientific exhibitions to display students’ products and draw joy on the faces of orphans, hosting private sector companies, reviewing a number of success stories, and lectures on providing students and graduates with practical skills for self-marketing.
