Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Kazem Jaber Al-Jubouri, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashir Shakir Al-Awadi, and on the occasion of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Al-Qadisiyah University held a scientific workshop titled “Suicidal Thoughts Among Youth: Causes and Treatments,” presented by M.M. Najah Hassan Al-Husseini, M.M. Ahmed Shakir Farman, and M.M. Hamza Abdul Azim.<\/p>\n

The workshop addressed several topics, including that suicidal thoughts among youth can arise from various causes, among which are mental illnesses, social and emotional pressures, difficulties in coping with daily stressors and challenges, and addiction to chemical substances. Additionally, to address suicidal thoughts among youth, it is essential to first recognize the warning signs and the problems the individual is facing. Subsequently, some steps can be taken for treatment and prevention of suicide, such as speaking honestly and non-judgmentally with the concerned individual and providing emotional support.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
