Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabir Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul-Fattah, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Media and Government Communication Division in the college, in collaboration with the Traffic Directorate of Diwaniya Governorate, organized a traffic guidance seminar titled “Traffic Accidents: Their Causes and Ways to Address Them.” Colonel Legal Mahand Fawzi Zidan presented the seminar, which was managed by Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Aziz Abdul.<\/p>\n
The seminar aimed to inform attendees at the college, including students and professors, about public safety guidelines and to raise awareness of the penalties resulting from traffic violations. It highlighted the efforts, means, and procedures undertaken by the relevant authorities to reduce traffic accidents and instill a sense of the importance of adhering to traffic etiquette, rules, and laws among road users. It also aimed to foster acceptance of the instructions specifically designed to ensure their safety, organize their movement on the roads, and reduce the gap between traffic personnel and citizens (road users), creating mutual understanding and respect between them by establishing the principle of shared responsibility to mitigate road accidents and their effects, and to gain public support for field traffic campaigns conducted by the relevant authorities to apprehend traffic violators.<\/p>\n
The seminar recommended the necessity of operating traffic lights at intersections and roads, the need for drivers to pass a driving test and obtain a driver’s license, avoiding driving by underage individuals, the importance of using pedestrian bridges when crossing at intersections and traffic congestions, and avoiding excessive speeding on internal streets, as well as refraining from improper overtaking of vehicles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
