The Public Law Department at the College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University organized a scientific seminar titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Achieving Sustainable Development,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Bidaya Ali Wali, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Nasser Saadoun, and Assistant Lecturer Haidar Obaid Hadabi.<\/p>\n
The seminar aimed to clarify the concepts of both artificial intelligence and sustainable development. Artificial intelligence represents a unique qualitative leap in the world of software, penetrating all stages of life. Its primary goal is to create intelligent machines capable of performing complex tasks. On the other hand, sustainable development is a comprehensive plan with a shared vision aimed at achieving a more sustainable future for all countries. The integration of artificial intelligence into various sectors of life leads to a more sustainable existence, especially considering the agenda set by the General Assembly in 2015, which is to be implemented by 2030, encompassing 17 goals through which artificial intelligence can be employed to achieve sustainable development.<\/p>\n
The seminar recommended that artificial intelligence is a double-edged sword; it can be used to secure a better life for current and future communities, but it can also be employed for cyber espionage, electronic fraud, or cyber extortion. Therefore, national and international legal frameworks should be established to regulate its misuse.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
