The College of Law at Al-Qadisiyah University organized, as part of the skills program for graduate students in the research phase, a scientific workshop titled “Previous Studies and Their Benefit in Legal Research.” The workshop was presented by Prof. Dr. Nizam Jabbar Talib and managed by Dr. Ali Hamza Jabr.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of previous studies in the field of legal research, as they allow for the foundation of original legal research, avoiding repetition, and moving towards addressing new issues that previous research has not tackled in the same title.<\/p>\n
The workshop concluded that addressing previous studies in legal research enables the reader and specialist to evaluate the scientific effort and the extent of the contribution made compared to other researchers. The workshop recommended that researchers place previous studies at the beginning of their theses and dissertations, and also urged the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to require graduate students to include a section on previous studies in their theses and dissertations in a way that highlights the researcher\u2019s effort compared to other scientific and knowledge outputs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
