Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Munir Abdul Amir Abdul Fattah Al-Fatlawi, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Planning and Follow-up Unit, the Educational and Psychological Guidance Unit at the college organized an awareness-raising seminar titled “Drugs: A Hidden Terrorism – An Analytical Study of Causes, Motivations, Treatment Methods, and Their Role in Protecting Human Rights.” The seminar featured presentations by Dr. Haifa Jumaa Hassan and Mr. Aqeel Ad Al-Abbas Jabbar Al-Shammari.<\/p>\n
The seminar aimed to understand the concept of drug addiction, its types and causes, the psychological, social, and economic effects of drug addiction, and ways to prevent and treat it. Drugs have become a significant challenge for societies, affecting individuals and families comprehensively, increasing crime and violence, and consequently leading to the disintegration of social relationships and the deterioration of moral values.<\/p>\n
The main recommendations included raising awareness among youth about the significant risks associated with drug use based on well-studied scientific foundations, as well as fostering religious motivation and adherence to religious teachings while avoiding prohibitions, as stated in the fatwa of the religious authority, Sayyid Al-Sistani, which prohibits the consumption and encouragement of drug use, urging parents to take all necessary measures to protect their children from the dangers of drugs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
