Under the patronage and attendance of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Khalidi, and the follow-up of the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Naseer Hamid Hamza, the two lecturers, Assistant Professor Haider Muhammad Abbas and Assistant Professor Muhammad Yassin Shaker, established a research area specialized in energy conservation and renewable energy research. The project, which the President of the University reviewed during his visit to the college in the presence of the Dean of the College and his assistants, aims to publish applied research in the field of energy conservation and energy production from renewable energy sources. The project was also invested in conducting scientific experiments for three students from the fourth stage to carry out graduation projects within a specialization concerned with energy conservation and renewable energy. The project included the presentation of several models of energy conservation research, including research on developing highly efficient thermal insulation bricks…as well as research on the use of phase change materials as an insulating material in double glazing to reduce energy consumption, in addition to research on the use of solar energy to heat water instead of using electrical energy to contribute to reducing energy consumption and reducing emissions of energy-producing fuels, which contributes to reducing consumption and preserving the environment from pollutants.
